Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Boostr, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using this service.
2. Description of Service
Boostr provides AI-powered code analysis and intelligence platform services, including:
- Code indexing and metadata extraction (files, symbols, dependencies)
- AI-powered feature discovery and expansion
- Database schema analysis and mapping
- Commit history analysis and contributor identification
- Workspace-isolated AI chat for code questions
We do NOT store your source code - only metadata extracted during analysis.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
- You must provide accurate and complete information
- You must be at least 18 years old
- One account per user (no account sharing)
- You are responsible for maintaining account security
3.2 GitHub Integration
By connecting GitHub, you grant Boostr permission to:
- Read repository metadata and branch information
- Clone repositories temporarily for indexing (deleted immediately)
- Access commit history
- Detect programming languages
You can revoke access at any time through GitHub settings or our dashboard.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
- Reverse engineer or copy the platform
- Overwhelm our systems with excessive requests
- Upload malicious code or content
- Violate any third-party rights (including GitHub's terms)
5. Data Ownership and Usage
5.1 Your Data
You retain all rights to your code and data. Boostr claims no ownership over:
- Your source code (which we don't store)
- Your repository content
- Code metadata we extract
5.2 Our Rights
You grant Boostr a limited license to:
- Process your code metadata for analysis
- Send metadata to AI providers (Claude, Gemini) for feature discovery
- Store extracted metadata in our database
- Use anonymized usage data to improve the service
6. Payment and Billing
Currently, Boostr is in beta and free to use. Future pricing terms will be:
- Announced at least 30 days before taking effect
- Grandfathered for existing users during beta
- Based on usage (workspaces, AI queries, etc.)
7. Termination
7.1 By You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Deleting all workspaces and projects
- Disconnecting GitHub integration
- Contacting support for complete account deletion
7.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior
- Fail to pay (once billing is implemented)
8. Disclaimers and Limitations
8.1 Service "As Is"
Boostr is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee:
- 100% uptime or availability
- Absolute accuracy of AI-generated analysis
- Compatibility with all codebases
8.2 Limitation of Liability
Boostr shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the service.
9. Intellectual Property
The Boostr platform, including its design, code, and features, is owned by Boostr and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be announced via:
- Email notification
- Dashboard notification
- 30-day notice period before changes take effect
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Boostr is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
